Hello and welcome back this week we are going on an adventure. Adventure in writing. It is time for a blogging challenge. It is officially my first year participating in BLOGTOBER. I have heard of this before but never really looked into it. Honestly, I thought it was something I probably couldn’t do. But that was just my imposter syndrome getting in the way.
We are about to experience 31-days of fall, spooky, creepy, or funny content. A month of Blogging in October about a bunch of Halloween/fall-related content. Another blogger that I follow mentioned they were doing it. So I thought why the hell not. Follow along to see if I make it?
Maybe it will get my creative juices flowing. Lord knows I have been needing it. I have things to write about but sometimes I just don’t know how to get them out. Maybe doing a blogging challenge will help with the mental block.
WHAT IS BLOGTOBER?
I, as well as many others probably do not know what this writing challenge is. For the longest time, I didn’t know what it was. But once I did my research I found out that it is a 31-day blogging challenge. You post every day from October 1st to the 31st. It can be new posts, updating old posts, or doing round-ups of your favorite posts. You can also link up with some other bloggers to share content. The sky is the limit as long as you are posting every day.
BTW if you do participate you can write posts in advance… as long as you are POSTING every day.
You can find others who are participating in Blogtober by looking up the hashtag #Blogtober2021. If you are an avid blog reader take a look to find some new content to read and if you are a writer branch out in your writing. Take this month to write your regular content, but throw something new in.
MY PERSONAL CHALLENGE
I spent this past week coming up with 31 ideas to post. My goal is to write something new all 31 days, but if I can’t I have some backups. Those are in case of an emergency, last resort… Don’t touch unless you are dying. LOL, I want to challenge myself to complete this.
Something about Halloween this year has just got my blood boiling. Like I love Halloween. I love decorating and giving out candy but Christmas has ALWAYS been my jam. I get more excited about December than October. This year I am excited about the whole thing. I don’t know what it is. Maybe we will have to explore that in a blog post this month.
WHAT TO EXPECT
I will be still writing my regular posts about personal growth, but I am going to be talking about a lot of themed posts because it’s October and I am doing a lot of spooky things. So my posts will be revolving around Fall, Halloween, and personal stories.
Some examples:
Fall Bucket list for personal growth
Halloween Journal Pages
Photo Diary
Sharing local folklore
Maybe some new scary or family-friendly Halloween movies to watch…
