Things to do in Florida by most popular counties

Hey guys, I am back this week… a little late, but man it was worth the wait. Let me tell you about what I would like to do for summer vacation… or at least for the rest of the year. We want to explore the sunshine state to find Things to do in Florida by most popular counties. You read that right!

While trying to figure out what to write about this week, since it is summer and I like to prepare for the summer break. My first thought was to make a list of things we like to do. I thought that might be boring and where was the challenge in that. So I decided people might be going on vacation to Florida or planning a future vacation to Florida. So why not create a list of things to do in Florida by most popular counties.

That’s right you heard it, Mike Mikayla and I are going to explore Florida by county. It’s a great idea because summer is the time where we try not to be home at all on the weekends. We will prepare all the different kinds of activities to do. It could be swimming or educational to something physical like hiking.

Fun things to do in all 67 counties

Florida has 67 counties, so far we have been to 17 of them. We have been to a lot of the popular counties, which are the places a lot of people visit. So, of course, we are going to start from our hometown of Pasco County. I was going to go in alphabetical order but where is the fun in that. We need a challenge. This may take us longer than the summer but I sure hope you follow us along for the ride.

We love exploring Florida and feeling like we found some cool things to do. We want families to be able to have a fun time on a dime. I know people love the amusement parks in Tampa, but those can cost an arm and a leg. If you want to do that, that’s great, it’s up to you. I want to give some options that could help save some money and still be enjoyable!

How will we judge the things to do in Florida by most popular counties?

What I want from this series is to provide fun, cheap, or free alternatives to amusement parks. So with that, we will be judging places on price, amenities offered, and if they do any special events.

Prices

We want the price to be as cheap as possible or free. We want more bang for our buck. Use that saved money towards one big thing to do like going to the amusement park or zip-lining. Whatever you are in to let that be the big wow-za of an adventure. Then explore all the little hometown things that we offered.

Amenities

Amenities are a must, I am not going to send you to a field and say make up your own fun. (I mean we could do that and still have a good time, but that is not what it is about). I am making it my job to make sure it has fun things because I have a 10-year-old. If it is not fun for her, it won’t be fun for anyone. Kidding, we would still think it was fun.

Special Events

Another thing we are going to look into is if they have any special events going on. Maybe you are coming down for a holiday like Christmas, Thanksgiving, or Halloween. Whatever the reason may be that you are here, we wanna know what fun things these places have to offer! We are going to do a deep dive and find out all the nitty-gritty, so you don’t have to.

Why are we doing this?

At the end of this journey, we want people to have something to do. Even if they are driving through and need to get out of their car to stretch their legs. I want to provide the Ultimate Florida Guide.

I don’t want visitors to think of Florida as a retirement state. For the most part, it is, but it is so much more than that. Every county we have been to has a great history to explore or fun swimming hole. They all have their own charm and we need to share those wonderful things.
