Wow, I can’t believe we are already on day 4 of Blogtober! I wish I would have thought about doing this sooner. It is a little stressful! lol. It is all good in the name of blogging. Today I am sharing a Halloween Round-Up Extravaganza! — All things spooky and scary were written by me and some of my newfound friends that are also doing Blogtober. Also, included are some of my other blog friends that are not doing Blogtober.
I want to show my fellow bloggers some love. They work around the clock producing content for their readers.
Presently October
We are going the start with the history of October check out Timeless Travel Steps as she gives you the full rundown of everything about the month of October…
Did you know that the October birth flower is a beautiful flower called a Calendula? I did not… The more you know!
Hometown Haunting or traveling the world for monsters
You have to include Hauntings and monsters in this Halloween Round-Up… what kind of post would this be if I didn’t?
Mind Beauty Simplicity shares a story of how her hometown is haunted. It is such a fascinating tale of Ellicott City. Maryland. Are you brave enough to read it?
If you are not into haunted stories and like to go on an actual hunt… you may like The Bucket List Projects’ post about catching monsters around the world… His post will take you from Catching Monsters in Transylvania to Catching witches in Salem, Massachusetts, or Discovering Zombies in Haiti.
There are 12 more places he tells you could catch monsters in. Gotta love this Halloween Round-Up of Monsters!
Cozy comfy night at home
If it is not your jam to hunt for monsters, but would rather stay home and have a comfy cozy night in well I have the posts for you. First, let’s start with my post on how to hygge up your house this holiday season! Nothing says comfy cozy like a little hygge-ing up your house.
All a part of Hygge-ing up your house is to bake something wonderful and make your home smell like a bakery. Check out Raisie Bay where she is Taking the Biscuit and the Great British Bake Off! I had to add this post because I LOVE the Great British Bake Off. I have made notes of which episodes have recipes I want to make.
If you are into making lists…
Now that you have your baked goods and your beverage of choice enjoying your cozy night in have you made your fall bucket list yet? If you haven’t I suggest taking a look at Natalie’s over at The Nutmeg Millennial.
I wish I could go pick apples… Did you know Florida DOES NOT have any apple orchards in the state? I know I didn’t and I have lived here my WHOLE DANG LIFE. in 36 years I never wondered why I have NEVER seen an apple orchard in my life!
Why you are writing that Fall Bucket List let’s do a Halloween Round-up of everything you are grateful for this fall. If you are unsure why you should be writing a gratitude list check out The Worth While Blog. She gives you 3 important reasons why you should make a gratitude list this fall.
Spooky books to read
When you are done with your lists pick up a good book to read this spooky season. Amanda Kay has some books that sound absolutely amazing to read. In her post she shares 3 Witchy Books she Hopes to Read During Spooky Season.
If you are not into the witchy genre of books you can head over to All Things Gee to read some of the CLASSIC spooky books. In her Halloween round-up of books, she chose books about all the monsters and movies we all know and love. We have seen the movies, but have you read the books? Me neither, but I think we should! What is your favorite Halloween book?
Spooky or scary movies
After you have done all the things to get in the fall/spooky season. Sit down in your hygge room and pop on a scary or not-so-scary movie. I have 2 lists you can choose from with 31 movies on each. You have a lot of options in case you got kiddos that you don’t want to have nightmares about before they go to bed.
