I am not a very picky person when it comes to the holiday season. I just like hanging out with family. Every holiday season my goal is to always make it memorable, not only for the kiddo but for me. You could say I am living vicariously through her. So I am sharing my ultimate Florida Fall Bucket List for 2021.
Looking back my most favorite time of the year was Halloween through New Year. It was the best time. between going trick or treating, having all the family around, the stupid inside family traditions we did. It was probably the most I was happy as a child. Nothing was ever wrong when I was growing up.
Those memories are what make me so passionate about the holidays. I was never as obsessed with Halloween as I am now. I think Mike has brought it out more in me because it’s his FAVORITE holiday… more than Christmas. Which is why we work so well together. LOL
I always pick simple yet fun things to do during the holiday season so let’s get on with my ultimate Florida Fall Bucket List for 2021
Florida Fall Bucket List #1 Pumpkin Patch
Starting October 10th my little neighborhood is having a pumpkin patch at our local community center. I will buy a few pumpkins from there to 1. support my neighborhood and 2. do something different with our pumpkins. 2 years ago we carved our first pumpkins and it was a blast.
This year we have a different plan for our pumpkins. I have been waiting to do this since last year! If you are in the Seminole Heights area of Tampa go check out the pumpkin patch.
Apple Crisp Macchiato
If you don’t know I live in Florida. Hence the whole point of this post. LOL This right here is what started me writing this post. A bunch of posts I was reading were talking about a fall activity of “Drinking hot apple cider”. I don’t think I have EVER had hot apple cider. So I want to, but there is no way in hello… Today in Florida it is going to be a high of 90 and tomorrow a high of 91. I do not want to drink ANYTHING HOT.
In looking up how to make an Ice apple cider drink. I found everyone talking about the Apple Crisp Macchiato from Starbucks. Mike and I love Iced Caramel Macchiatos. So this sounds right up our alley. I am hesitant but I need to try it.
Make Iced Apple Cider
But don’t worry I did find a recipe to make Iced Apple Cider. That will be something we do this fall. I will have to buy store-bought apples because FLORIDA DOESN’T HAVE ANY APPLE ORCHARDS!!! I Repeat FLORIDA DOESN’T HAVE ANY APPLE ORCHARDS!!! Tell me you were todays years old and NEVER freakin knew this. My heart was set on going to an apple orchard, buuuuuuuttttt nooooooooo. So now I have to live without the leaves changing color, snow, and now NO FREAKIN APPLE ORCHARDS. I was born in the wrong state.
Florida Fall Bucket List #4 Try a Cider Donut
Since I have not had hot apple cider. I don’t think I have had a cider donut. So I must find one. Last year I tried the Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut from Dunkin Donuts. It was okay… not that spicy and too much frosting. So I am hoping this year a try cider donut.
I know I am comparing store-bought apples to oranges… but hey that is all I got right now. HAHAHAHA
I just looked it up last year Dunkin’s had Apple Cider Donut and Munchkins. So fingers-crossed they have them this year.
Spooky Photoshoot
So you know how I said earlier I had a different plan for my pumpkins this year. Well, Mike and I decided to do the Tiktok pumpkin head and ghost photos. I think these are so cute. We have never done anything like this and I am completely surprised Mike actually agree to it.
It might have to be something we do regularly. Themed Halloween photoshoot. LOL
Go look at Halloween Decorations
We have been driving around the past couple of days looking at Halloween decorations. We have been decorating our home since Mid-September and are still not done. I will have a separate post about our decorations. We love looking at our house and love seeing what our neighbors are doing.
A neighbor a couple of streets over have a 7ft tall metal-looking dragon just sitting on their lawn. No other decorations, but the dragon is pretty badass. Mike wants one, but they are all sold out at Home Depot.
Watch ALL the scary movies
One thing that always has to be on our Florida Fall Bucket List. I have pulled out all my Halloween DVDs and we are watching all of them when Mike gets home from work early enough. In my last post, I shared my list of 31 scary movies and 31 not-so-scary movies. If you are interested in seeing what we are watching this season.
Can’t wait to cuddle up on the couch with snacks and my favorite Halloween Loungewear.
Florida Fall Bucket List #8 Fall Fesitval
I love our fall festivals. It is so much fun for me, Mike, and Mikayla to go eat some festival food, do some fun fall activities like going to a corn maze, hayride, and whatever else they have planned. This year a place by us has a pumpkin that weighs about 1000 lbs. I want to see that. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!
Haunted Houses
Mike and I have already gone to our first haunted house of many. If you are in the Hillsborough area I recommend Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail in Plant City. There are 3 haunted houses, Laser tag, and an escape game. Check my Instagram to see what we are up to. It was so much fun as a little date night for just adults, but would definitely go back with the kiddo.
This is just the beginning of our Florida Fall Bucket List. There are so many more things we want to do, but I don’t want to make this post any longer than it needs to be. Should I do a part 2 to our list? Let me know in the comments below what your favorite fall activity is where you live?
Until tomorrow, Have a great day! Remember you are a badass!
I live in Florida and this is a are great bucket list! I never knew we didn’t have apple orchards, but I understand why!
Well Hello from Tampa! I understand why we don’t, but it sucks LOL
That sounds so exciting and I hope you have a great time in Florida! It’s full of fun and exciting places, and I think you will have a great time.
Florida is full of fun and exciting places. I am always on the hunt for new places to go to in my city.
This sounds like a great plan! A visit to a pumpkin patch looks fun. We’re also planning to binge-watch horror movies for Halloween. Thank you for sharing these wonderful ideas.
