Can you believe we are starting week 2 of Blogtober already? It has flown by. This week we are starting off with a guest post from my penpal bestie from Canada. So give a big round of apple-ause to Stephanie! Hahaha, you’ll get that joke in a minute! Before I turn it over to her I just have to say one thing! I don’t see the hype over pumpkin spice…
There are two kinds of people in this world, Pumpkin spice lovers, and everyone else I, myself, don’t care for pumpkin spice and want to show you what you’re missing!
Let me introduce myself, my name is Stephanie Christine and I’m from a small little village in southern Ontario. I’ve known Michele by being her pen pal for over a year now and thought it was time I gave it a try at guest blogging on her page.
But let’s get back to the good stuff, why you are actually here. Get ready to open your senses to more flavors than pumpkin spice, and trust me when I say you won’t regret it. Apple is the new pumpkin and you’re going to love it.
I don’t like pumpkin spice, there I said it!
Here is my list of recipes that are a must-have for fall, and all things apple.
Apple Cider
Having this warm drink will transport you home and give you all the comfort feels. A traditional spin on the classic juice made for children but with the style of fall.
When you’re craving a cold drink during fall this will be your new go-to recipe. Try this recipe with rum for a girl’s night in or without so the whole family can enjoy it. Either way, you’re going back for seconds.

These doughnuts are made with freshly produced apple cider right in the dough and coated with delicious cinnamon sugar creating the perfect fall treat.
Pumpkin spice is not life
Apple Cakes and Pies
Apple Cheesecake
This delicious take on a classic cheesecake passes all the fall vibes. The taste of sweet apple compliments the smooth cream cheese flavor perfectly.
Apple Crisp
Boring apple pie is the thing of the past. Crunchy sweet topped apples with not thick a pastry are heavenly and will be a hit at any family gathering.
Let me know in the comments what you plan to try, and how it turns out.
Thanksgiving is around the corner and these fall recipes are a perfect way to spoil family members with love and flavor.

If you enjoyed Stephanie’s post and also side with her not being a big fan of pumpkin spice you should go follow her on Instagram. She is in the midst of remodeling her website, but hopefully, we will see some new content from her soon!
Until tomorrow, have a great day! Remember you are a badass!
I don’t care for pumpkin spice either. Apples are the best!
I like some pumpkin things… A pumpkin spiced latte is NOT one of them.
I much prefer apples to anything pumpkin. I love the sound of the Apple Cider Donuts and the Apple Crisp sounds a lot like our apple crumble x
I make apple crisp every Thanksgiving and Christmas. There is never any left. I cannot wait to make it this year.
Oh, I do love apple recipes at this time of year! Thank you xxx
What is your favorite apple recipe?
Definitely also prefer all the apple-y goodness this time of year over pumpkin spice!
I agree!
Some nice warm apple crisp with vanilla ice cream is the best!!!
Yum! I can’t wait to have it this year!
I love pumpkin spice, but apple flavoured drinks are absolutely divine too. Will have to check out these drinks, thanks so much for sharing.
Apple recipes seem so much more refreshing than pumpkin spiced things.
I love apple pies and cakes as well. I’m a big fan of apple 🙂 I will try those apple cider donuts.
I am on the hunt for apple cider donuts!
I’ve had apple pie before and it tastes so good. I got to say that. I think I would be with you on this after tasting it.
Apple pie does taste good! I prefer apple crisp more though.
I love apple season and apple cider. Thank you for mentioning apple cider donuts because I have to make some now.
Ooo should I try and make them? Should I add that to my bucket list?
looks pretty delicios, I’d definitely try that. I like apples and pumpkin spice too
Apple cider is a delicious flavor year-round, and especially during the Fall. Yum!
I am not a fan of pumpkin spice either. I don’t get the hype at all, but apple… I completely feel like apple doesn’t get enough hype during this time of year.
Apple does not get enough credit during the holiday season! lol
I’m not a massive fan of pumpkin spice either. I tend to have one pumpkin spice latte a year, just to be sociable, LOL. I’ll have to give apple cider a try instead. Hopefully I’ll like it as much as you do 🙂

Pumpkin spice to me is like eggnog for Christmas. I have it once a year and I am good for the other 11 months. I don’t want it and I don’t crave it. LOL
Fall is such a big deal in the US – and all the flavors that come with it. Pumpkin Spice is not popular at all in Europe, however, I remember it from my trips to the US – and simply love it 🙂
That is fascinating that pumpkin is not popular in Europe. What is popular during the holiday season there?
